it's easy to smile to a stranger on the jeepney, u just happen to glance at someone and most likely smiling eases the awkward feeling you get. it's a stranger for goodness sake! how can that feeling occur? well, i don't know but that happened to me sometimes.
giving your smile to someone is the simpliest yet most effective kindness one can give. i find it bizarre, why people can't put up a smile. then one day, someone smiled at me but i didnt smile back, why? because i had a bad day and i can't find any reason to smile. it affected others' mood that day, that person might think something is wrong with him or that his smile dont matter when it actually does. it made me realize there's more to a day than thinking i had bad start. i did have a bad start that day but i can end that day good and well, happy. so i smiled to everyone in the class and to the guards and to the baggage counter and to the cafeteria people and to the vendor selling puto and sikwate...
one single smile can make a difference...whatever your color or status in life maybe...your smile....you owe it to the world.
